Banejad is a good start on an Eichel trade but the rest isn’t what they’d be asking for imo

Well, Jack hasn't asked for a trade yet, so passes.

I mean a #1 Dman to replace Risto, a prospect who'd be #2 in you pool, a 1st and a 2nd. Along with Zibanejad is about all you could realistically expect for Jack.

Yeap. Zibanejad is an excellent player, but he has two years left on his contract and he is unlikely to be able to take us to the playoffs. Trouba gets 8 million, and although he is a normal player, we will need to extend Dahlin by 8-9 million, too, and this is also unlikely to lead us to the playoffs. I would prefer to trade for a younger center with a term or which we can lock up for a long time, or for a good futures trade, or both.

Nah. Theres no regrouping with a quantity deal. I would guess a futures package, one where teams dont get to keep their 3 best prospects, with multiple firsts.

If Jack asked for a trade then change trouba to fox and move the Rangers to the west and I think we have a deal.

Seeing a general lack of realization that if the Sabres don't want Zibanejad he's instantly flippable for basically any future they'd
want and more. Comparitively, Zibanenad alone is worth significantly more than someone like Duchene when he was originally dealt.

Yeah this is a bad eichel trade.
If eichel gets traded it's for more of a futures deal. Trouba and Z is a bad return for a deal like this.

Make it the NYR 2020 1st and value wise its fair. But i'd rather not have Trouba and get a guy like Strome instead
