Description
So considering the flat cap and the Lightning having 3 premium RFA's to sign, Also some UFA's if they feel they should be brought back like Shattenkirk and Maroon.

Will Tampa be forced to part with Sergachev to make cap room? Maybe Cirelli? what do you guys they should do and what will they do?

That Sergachev deal is very bad for Tampa to put it mildly.

I think Tampa trades Cirelli before they move Sergachev. Cirelli is a great player but they already have Stamkos and Point ahead of him on the depth chart.

Another guy they could look I to moving would be Vasilevsky. Moving out 9.5M would allow them to keep all their premium RFAs.

I could see them moving Vasilevsky for a pick that could net them Askarov and then try and sign Lehner or Holtby to a 2 or 3 year deal

Vasilevsky's trade value isnt that much. The AAV is too high and the term is very risky.

They'd probably have to trade him for a lower tier starter from a team with cap space.

I think with the flat cap, and Holtby especially after the season he had, teams are going to be a little less willing to sign huge contracts, especially for goalies. Bob didnt work out super well in FLA, and he was coming off a good season. Holtby with a sub .900 SV% as a 30 year old would be lucky to get more than 3 years

I can see Holtby taking a cheap 1 year deal if he doesnt play well in the playoffs.

Thats probably the bigger obstacle. Moving him out for 9.5, but signing a goalie to likely 6 or 7 in replacement, while also probably having to take back some sort of cap in return. Maybe they do something with the Wild if they feel that Kahkonen isnt the long term solution, they trade Dubnyk and the 1st back for Vasi and maybe a smaller piece or prospect as well? Idk. Just trying to brainstorm without thinking about it too in depth

That’s true but imo they’d have to take below market value, because besides his contract I think it is fair to wonder what he would do with a lesser team in front of him.

Moving Vasy to sign Lehner is essentially saving 2.5M and downgrading, that's a very poor decision

I don't see Tampa moving their franchise goaltender anytime soon. Premier talent in between the pipes is about the hardest thing to get in the nhl these days.

NO.
He Stays.
I'm not biased at all... Seriously... just stop... He is a selke candidate. Selke candidates are not for sale... go open a topic in Bruins world to trade Bergeron... see how the fans will react... great ideas though... lulz...

Vasi is a lock to stay 100%. He is our franchise goaltender for a while. Not saying in last years of his contract he can't be traded but he is a lock for next 3-4 years... You can quote me on that if opposite happens, and i take all blames for it... BriseBois wouldn't give out him a huge contract if his intention was to trade him... It's not how it works...

This thread is not good... My head hurts from these comments btw... I expected just a tiny bit better from you guys...

The guy who is a lock to get traded is Tyler "tiny" Johnson. (or Palat) In my mind TJ is already gone.... good luck to him in his "new future" team... NTC's are even less meaningful now... it's a must thing now to trade someone.(after playoffs over) And that clause will not work in this case... There are 25 teams who wants him... if not we can give bonus ...
We are moving into "tough" team category this year. We try to copy Washington/St. Louis. He is just too soft/too small. So it will not work... BriseBois now knows small players get crushed in playoffs and the referees just allow any dirty play... The Columbus series was a huge lesson. Goodrow/Coleman cheap good replacements... And they are not that "weak", like TJ.

Cernak for sure will be cheap...(down year)

Shattenkirk might get resigned for cheap... if not that's ok... we can find someone else... not needed 40 points from a D... we need rather help Vasi stop being an AHL level goalie...(sometimes this year he played that bad thanks to the bad defence + new system). We fixed that so Vasi is again pretty good... We'll see in playoffs how good truly he is now soon(tm)... Last year Columbus series was a fluke from Vasi... Now he will be better by a mile...
I doubt Shatty have much success in other franchises(see NYR years), he is a perfect fit for us... He gets a little raise, but that's ok...

Serg contract will be interesting but a 3rd pairing D gets less money, than people think... If you guys want to look up 3rd pairing D-men contracts feel free. It's not that expensive... i help you guys...
I just played last week NHL '20 game and some team signed him for xyz years for 6 million $... it's not gonna happen in real life... i bet you guys expect huge $$$ dollars' $$$ for Serg... you will get disappointed... we sign players anyways for discounts all the time and he will not be exception... especially in these times... when cap is low... and no no offersheets lulz... he just says no thanks to those garbage agents calls(like Pointerz did)... he likes to play with Vasi+Kuch... it's a dream for him to play in our team... + cup chance for next year as well... can be a 1 year cheap contract as well... next year little raise 1 year again... but if it's multiple years is still gonna be lower, than most people think in these forums...
