Manson ain't worth a 1st. He is barely a top 4 defenseman. If we use our 1st it will be for someone like Severson or Pesce.

I’m fairly confident he’s the 3rd asset of 3 in that package, prolly more to make the cap work.. i wouldn’t trade a first in 21 for Henrique. Not because he isn’t worth prolly a mid to later first, but because I doubt him alone can push the Sabres out of the basement and that’ll be a high pick

I know enough to see he is barely a top 4. Even duck fans have admitted that. Just because he plays 20mins a night and plays 2nd pairing does not mean he should. He is a slight upgrade over cody ceci and we dont need another defenseman playing like that. Would rather trade for a rental like savard who will be much cheaper to acquire or grab someone much better like pesce or Severson if we plan to use our 1st. In general, manson looked awful this season and if Dubas gave a 1st for him might as well hand in his resignation as gm.

Yeah like Manson struggled this year, but look at his team. Back when ducks were a playoff contender he was a legit top 4 D man. Never forget when the value for Manson was Nylander. Not saying it is now obviously, but a guy like Manson is bringing in either a guy like Lilly or a First round pick

Manson's game has taken a serious hit the last two years and is a big contributor to why this team has struggled, not necessary the other way around as you suggest. Mans has one really good year coming off the heels of showing steady improvement since breaking into the league. But he got paid and got married and it seemed to stop. I'm hoping the old Mans comes back around but I think a team would be crazy to commit a first to acquire him until he proves his carriage didn't turn back into a pumpkin.

How are Muzzin and Manson comparable lmao?? Muzzin is a consistent 30-40 pt guy and has far better defensive metrics then Manson.

if your point is that Muzzin puts up more points then should cost less in a tradethen perhaps there is a point there... both play a physical game and are considered upper tier defensive dmen

Yup, I agree both are good defensively but Muzzin has that slight edge and prime Manson wasn't scoring at a higher rate then Muzzin. Imho, Manson for Kapanen would be fair.
