I'd rather Ottawa spend a 4th and get Bozak from STL, but if not, this looks good to me.

Bozak is overpaid. St. Louis would be lucky if someone took him off them for free. Especially if they want to sign Pietrangelo.

Bozak is a bit overpaid, I won't argue that. Cap hit of $5M but actual pay is $4.25M next season. But he's still got NHL speed, is very good at face-offs, and is a right handed pivot. I really believe if we let him play on our 1st line and 1st PP unit we can get him on pace for 20+ goals and 50 points, and get a 2nd round pick at the deadline by retaining half his remaining cap. If we can get that for a 4th, I'm in. If we can get him for less than a 4th all the better!

Yeah except that was 30 years ago and the Sabres aren’t in the same finial woes as the Oilers were. They also don’t have the team the Oilers did where they can afford to do that. So like I said it’s a stupid exercise because he’s not getting traded. Especially for what is offered in this trade

Yeah this probably isn't enough. I think Eichel could very much be on the move in the next couple seasons though. He's not happy and I don't see a way for the Sabres to get competitive in the next couple years.

He’s not going anywhere. He has 6 years left on an 8 year deal. Even if we’re 2 years from being a playoff team on a consistent basis he can ask for a trade all he wants, that doesn’t mean the Sabres are going to move him

You guys won't be contenders as long as you have Skinner and Okposo on the team. Botterill was terrible, messed up this team for a long time.

Skinner will be fine as long as he has a C to play with. Okposo has been a good 4th liner (the money is an issue but he’s been fine). I will agree that Botts was terrible though
