Seider for Sandin okay i can live with that

the rest of the trades just no.

I have a feeling the king will retire and go on LTIR so rangers can keep georgiev and shesterkin
As for Mittelstadt pass, would rather keep kerfoot.

Sandin will be good but Seider was drafted significantly higher than expected and since has proven that he was worthy of that draft spot. I dont think Detroit touches this. They are very high on him

easy Rangers decline. But if you want to do that Kerfoot for Lias trade, that works.

Agree that neither team trades their blue chip. Outside of draft position Sandin has a better track record (better AHL numbers, WJC top defenceman, etc.) but they are relatively even prospects and both teams are high on their respective players. That said, if they take Drysdale, swapping an RHD for an equivalent LHD isn't a bad idea. It was tough for me to trade sandin, but positionally it makes good sense for both sides

I’d love to have Sandin but not at the cost of Seider. Also love Liljegren but our FO took Rasmussen over Vilardi, Necas, and Liljegren (that was respectively my BPA during draft). Who knows Yzerman may go Sanderson as I was reading article where a few teams had him 3rd overall.

You are asking for some crazy things out of young and inexperienced players. Seider a top-pairing guy immediately? Georgiev can handle the starters role and that many games? It seems like a lot of unknowns where the Leafs, alternatively, and easily, find better trade partners to match up with that might give them a little bit more experience and assurances. One of the goalies from Pittsburgh immediately comes to mind if guys like Woll and Scott cannot handle an NHL workload by that point. As for Sandin, the offer would have to blow the Leafs away. I don't think Seider would blow the Leafs away, especially because it seems he would still be a work-in-progress.

Sandin was Dubas' first draft pick as GM. He was developed in the Sault Ste Marie system that Dubas set up and then moved into Dubas' Marlies system. He is both well ahead of schedule, would go much higher in a redraft.

Seider is of course bigger, a RHD and a year younger.

I don't think that there is any chance either side does that deal.

He’s a big, high iq, extremely mobile, hard hitting defenseman that resembles Parayko with a little more grit. He literally shuts down the other teams top line. I can’t remember who did it but they tracked offense with him on and off the ice during international tourneys and it was staggering the impact he had.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Both guys are untouchable. But theoritcally, it makes sense for both teams.

You are right Sandin has better AHL numbers but this was also his 3rd season playing North American hockey. He played a season in the OHL before being drafted. Sandin had 28 points his first with the Marlies. Seider had never played North American Hockey before this season and he put 22 points. So I do think his track record it a whole lot closer than you think it is.
