Basically all the guys on the block are gone.
There could be some tweaking with the picks/retained salary but you get the idea.

Montreal: Sends Domi and a fourth for a retained Dumba.
Minnesota: They get paid a pick to take a fourth liner that could replace Koivu right away and retain a little on Dumba.
Vancouver: Sheds salary but they retain a little at the price of a fourth.

Who says Domi is on the block? And IMO the Habs do not need a D with Romanov coming up. Hard pass from them

I mean trading away an excellent player that can't stay healthy for a top 6 center/LW and giving away a fourth for dumping an overpaid fourth liner to make cap space for Petterson and Hugues .... What a rip.

Yep he had injuries for sure and that is an unknown...well to everyone except you I guess. The player with the type 2 diabetes though, obviously he will stay healthy for a long time. I have buddies with type 2 and it is not as easy as though think. Boeser is a better player and will continue to be. Cap space for Pettersson and Hughes you say? In the new CBA is there not a compliance buyout? That would allow them to get rid of Beagle without retaining any of the money the proposed trade mentions...would it not? That is still $750K.

Snottiness aside, your reply would have had merit, but you omitted that small detail of the CBA buyout.

Also ever wonder why Domi could potentially be traded 3 times in 6 years and they have been talking about it in Montreal for a while?
No probably not.

The habs take that and run.

And I don’t see why the Canucks would want Domi, since they’d probably want to add a winger to replace Boeser, rather than a C that won’t play any higher than the 3rd line. Especially if they lose Pearson/Toffoli.

Domi was traded out of Arizona because he couldn’t stand playing in an empty arena where no one cares about hockey. The reason that some habs are considering trading him is because we have too many centres, and Domi didn’t show well on the wing this year. It’s purey positional. Otherwise, Domi is a great guy who loves playing here, and his love for the game really makes everything enjoyable.

Yeah you could be right, I have heard otherwise about him, but really unless we are in the room who actually knows? I am not sold on quality center depth to be honest and if I were Bergevin, I would keep another option available. If they had planned to transition him to a full time winger, I would give him another year as winger before trading him.

I hope you are right because even as a Leaf fan, I don't mind the Habs, but I don't really think we know for sure. I would rather see you guys stockpile center strength and go from there. I really miss the rivalry games on HNIC...and I am not saying its because the Leafs are better because we have plenty of issues too that the media might "gloss over" at times.

Yeah everything's been blown out of proportion by the fanbase on CF because for once Montreal has more than one top 6 center, look online and other than a couple of low level clickbait website no actual expert has anything to say about Domi being on the block. I don't think the organization has any plans to move Domi as he's been relatively a good core player in the past two years with the team, inconsistent yes, but still a good player.
As for Boeser I don't know why he'd be on the block because the team would sell at an all-time low but with Benning anything's possible (Beagle and Roussel at 24M$?).
