they are a mess cap wise in general.

Kane, Couture, Karlsson, Vlasic, Burns, Martin jones cost 46.5 million a year for 4 more years, most of those guys are under contract until they are almost 40 and they have to pay hertl in 2 years.

To top it off both Meir and Hertl need raises before any of those albatross contracts come off the boards so in all honesty I would bet one or both get traded for prospects to free up cap space rather than lose them in FA
