Pesce will cost you a lot more than that, like a lot more.

I understand why Toronto would want this Carolina deal. Why would Carolina do it? They are giving up a RHD and getting a LHD when they already have tons of LHD under contract going forward and this would leave them with only Hamilton as a RHD going forward. So it's not just that I think Toronto would have to give up more, I don't understand why Carolina would agree to it under almost any circumstances.

Pesce is overrated. Leafs pass on that deal.

Dermott will be just as good as Pesce in a couple years.

Pesce is the best DFD in hockey. That's it. He's signed for 4 years making 4 mil. He's a right-hand shot which is rare in itself. Carolina is not giving him away for this mound of garbage
