Sabres playoff team

Créé par: BigDog91
Équipe: 2020-21 Sabres de Buffalo
Date de création initiale: 12 juill. 2020

Description
Yes cozen should start on the wing. He shouldn’t be forced to play a tough position as a rookie like mittlestadt was. On this team he could easily be protected until he is ready to take ove r the 2c spot.

Easy no from Vancouver. That package wont get you Boeser alone not to mention Demko.

You could add Erikkson to the trade and it would be a hard no.

You are nuts. First line would be one the best in nhl. And second line would be in top ten beat second lines. Defense is solid and I think Ullmark will have a great year if he stays healthy.

This is basically the same first line we had last year. Second line would be drastically better. However goaltending I do not expect a big improvement. Pretty much anyone should be a better than Hutton was last year, including Hutton, but I doubt we see much if any step forward in Ulmarks game. Goaltending is very unpredictable year to year and there is nothing to point to him taking a big step forward he is just as likely to have a season of regression.

Boeser is good player but he injuries a lot and they can not afford him. Demko was terrible last year so he also doesn’t have much value. Mittlestadt is first round pick center. And kahun is 50 point player and not much off of Boeser and will be half the cost.

This post made me cringe. Especially that MTL trade. Makes little to no sense. Samuelsson and the 1st this year (rossi, perfetti, holtz) will be better than mete and domi

Mittelstadt was a first round center pick and since then hasn't even been able to develop to a serviceable 3C. Trying to call his value a first round pick center still is a joke. Kahun hasn't even eclipsed 40 points (was on pace for 39 this season over a full 82 games) not to mention 50.

Ullmark has great stats last year. .915 save percentage. Which was top half of the league on a terrible team. He will be just fine.

Yeah maybe but maybe not but the fact is they will not be good for at least two years and then struggle for couple years. This team can compete now and in the future.

It’s a yes for Dallas. Montour would complete a strong Top 4 D corps and Johns could be moved on the third pair. That would be luxury.

Hate to lose Faksa but I fear the contract Nill would give him and Dickinson can fill his role.

Where do we sign?

Not good at math I see he was on pace for 46 points. Playing in his second year on his third team. If he is able to play on steady team he will easily break 50.

I think Domi for the 2020 first rounder and Montour for Faksa and Oleksiak (better overall player than Mete) would be a very good start to improving the team. Use that cap that you would have given to Boeser to improve your goaltending and you might have something

Still lower than 50 and at 25 he doesn't have much room for further growth.

Basically you want to value Demko like hes worth nothing because he had a bad year in his first full season in the NHL. Meanwhile you want to value Mittelstadt like a 1st round pick center despite him having multiple bad years in the NHL now. You can't have it one way for one guy and another way for the other especially when goalies are considered to have the longer growing curve.

The trade is ****.

Okay first is Mittelstadt is 20 years old. He was forced into nhl playing 2c with 4th line wingers and expected to carry the line. He went to AHL was forced to play defense and played very well in the end of the year. He will still be very good player. Kahun and boeser are 20 point difference max on half the contract. For that difference I are getting mittlestadt and 2nd. BecAuse I felt we were losing out I took demko. If u truly feel it is not fair take him out and make it 2021 second.

So two players that never played in the league for a 60pts 2nd center and a young LHD...

we have plenty of picks coming up the pipeline, MTL needs to fix some holes in the current lineup if they are trading Domi.

Samuelsson is going to be a good dman soon. He's already got the size and strength. That 1st could be ready as early as next year to make an impact. I think it depends on whether the Habs should even try to be competing this year and next? IMO This past season showed that we're not ready anytime soon. They need some of their prospects to make the jump first. 20-21 will be about Romanov, Caulfield, Poehling, Kotkaniemi etc, proving that. Until then, more missing the playoffs.

Domi is a winger. Can he play C? sure. Thats not where he is best however. The top 8-10 players in thi draft all have serious chance of making roster out of respective team camps. Especially with the NHL starting in December aka extra development time. Mete is good but lots of question marks and I would much rather have samuelsson over him. OHHHH and back to Domi, you called him a 60 pt guy? Hes had one season where that would be true. All the other seasons he averages out at about 45.

First of all, any article that quotes Chad DeDominicis has to be viewed suspiciously. No knowledgeable Sabre follower takes him seriously.
Second, I would never say Mittelstadt was a lock for #2 center, in fact, I would have sent him to Rochester last year after watching him perform in the Sabre's Prospect Challenge.
Third, he is hardly a bust, with 39 pts in 114 NHL games as a 20 year old.
Fourth, the article was correct, it was a terrible draft which should have automatically meant he should not have been brought into the NHL as soon as he was.
Fifth, while he did get PP time, he made the most of it getting more goals than Sam and was ranked 5th among all Sabre forwards with 10 PP pts. Let me add, he only averaged 13:27min/game in 2018-'19 which was less than Larsson or Girgensons. So to say he got mid six minutes would be a gross exaggeration.
Sixth, he needs to get bigger just as Sam Reinhart did. Once he does that and his ceiling is only 40pt, then I would be disappointed.
