Only way he takes 5.5M is if he doesn't like it in New York and he takes a 2 year deal so he can walk as a free agent.

I think the guy they should get back in a Boeser trade is DeAngelo. Lundkvist is a good prospect but prospects (especially defensive prospects) don't always pan out.

Boeser is much better than Toffoli. They aren't equivalent.

That's a very high standard. Even Barkov, Laine, Point, Rantanen and Hall have had lower production than EP and Miller this season.

Actually point has 64 in 66 and EP has 66 in 68 so its pretty close, barkov has 62 in 66, mikko missed games but had 41 in 42

Why would the Rangers trade Strome for Domi straight up, let alone throw in a 1st round pick, Howden, and 2 prospects? I highly doubt Domi would be able to come to New York and put up more points or be able to play a more rounded role playing with Panarin and Fast than Strome. Strome also proved the year before that he could score a lot of goals at RW if there's eventually a logjam at center.

Rumor has it that the only way Boeser gets traded is if an expensive contract like Eriksson were to be included in the trade. There would be no other reason for VAN to trade Boeser than for reducing their salary cap. So I would suspect VAN would be looking to acquire players on an ELC, prospects, and/or draft picks.
