Pretty sure Washington is up against the cap so don't know if they'll be able to take on Tatar even if it is for one year without moving cap the other way.
STL is in the same position, but you're not get Dunn for two draft pics. STL would need to add in a low cost replacement for Dunn since moving him opens up a spot on the bottom 4 LD (think Mete at 1.25M/year x 3 or 5 years). However, that still doesn't solve the fact that they don't have the $$$ to resign Pietreangelo, so they need to clear cap space. I've suggested in other AGMs that throwing in Allen (4.35) for one year is probably a good barganing chip for Bergevin as it would free up some considerable cap space for STL - but again, they would still need to have a cheap replacement for Allen (think Lindgren at less than 1M/season). So in my opinion, a more reasonable STL trade for Dunn would be Dunn & Allen for Mete, Lindgren, 2020 2nd and 2020 3rd. No others here will suggest that a 1st MUST be there and I would agree have things in this world remained "normal". But given the next offseason, probably 2, its going to be buyers market - not a sellers market. Therefore prices and costs for acquiring anyone either via FA, OS or trade will be much much lower than normal.
Lastly, I'm not sure why you're targeting Montour when we have Juuslen and Fleury waiting in the wings....especially Juulsen - we need to see if this kid still has it as it will allow us to make a decision on Petry.
