Final Boeser trade

Description
Take 5 (I'll shut up after this)

I'M NOT SAYING THE CANUCKS SHOULD TRADE BOESER BUT I'M ALSO NOT JIM BENNING WHO APPARENTLY ISN'T OPPOSED TO IT

There likely will be a lower return on Boeser than expected due to Benning pigeon-holeing himself with bad contracts but unless a team is willing to part with a blue chip prospect the deal will likely consist of three or four players/prospects with top-6 or top-4 potential.

These trades allow a possible future hawks lineup of:
Kubalik - Toews - Boeser
Kurashev - Dach - Kane
DeBrincat - Strome - Entwistle
Hagel - Barratt - Draft pick/FA signing

Boqvist - Mitchell
Beaudin - Regula
Carlsson/Krys/Gilbert - Draft Pick/ FA signing

Lehner
Delia/Lankinen

(lines can be shuffled and Boqvist can play either side which allows the Hawks flexibility they haven't had in a while)

assuming that Shaw has to retire and the hawks can dump Maatta (top-6 D) and Smith (4th line/PK) OR the hawks keep Crow at 3-4M and/or Kubalik and Strome take less this trade works

Same here. Would Chicago really give up that much for Boeser?

The hawks need a top-6 RW. If they miss on Jack Quinn or Alex Holtz from their pick falling they should look for a trade like this if Seabrook can be more than just a warm body, and if most of the younger guys in Rockford and college can make the team.

Also if you’re trading for the best player in a trade you likely need to overpay a bit.

You think Boeser is Vancouver's best player? I'm not sure he is their top 5

I don't think Chicago "needs" a top 6 RW. We have Kane and Saad...that's extremely solid. What Chicago could use, if Nylander doesn't pan out, is a top 6 LW though.

I’m saying that Boeser is the best player in the trade not on the Canucks

Saad should be on the LW since he’s a left shot, the hawks have only used him on the right side rarely since we have no Right shots other than DeBrincat (LW) Nylander (LW) Dach (C) and Carpenter

I know he's only 23 he hasn't cracked 60 pts but he can't stay on the ice ks the thing. The fact that they want to move him if its true kinda says alot about what they think about the player.

I think the hawks pass. Thats a lot to give up. Murphy, nylander, vlasic, and the 16th pick all for the upgrade of saad to boesser. I think we are better off keeping our depth and prospects

Often times players play the opposite sides of their prominent side; such as Debrincat despite being right handed plays on the left intentionally. Same with Kane despite being left handed always plays the right. Saad gets his best results on the right despite being left.
