McDavid doesn't cover or play defence, he just waits high to spring into transition. I don't see how a player that leave his team shorthanded can be over a player that's good both offensively and defensively.

Same with Kane, he might as well be helping the other team score on his own net the way he screws over the Hawks defensively.

I personally believe plus-minus is the worst possible stat you can use to evaluate a player. Imo it makes your rankings less accurate.

I did not look at blocked shots either. Sure his job is to score, but I'd take 80 points and extreme quality defence over 100 points and actively making your team worse in their own end any day of the week. It's common sense really.

I’m not high, his defensive play was just abysmal. Takeaways don’t show what the goal of defence is, to prevent the other team from getting quality and quantity chances. Draisaitl is absolutely abysmal at stopping both.
