Habs 2020 offseason

Créé par: Dumb

Description
This is if the Habs dont get 1st overall.
If they do, Just slot in Laffy on the 2nd line instead of Kovalchuk

With the 8th and 9th pick, they could either attempt to move up for Drysdale or Stutzle or draft a combo of Sanderson/Holtz/Rossi/Askarov
Sergachev may want more than 6.3 so im willing to go up to 7 for him, if thats the case, byron/weal would have to be moved
For any of the trades, adding mid to late round picks to either side is expected to balance the offers
If the Habs are a playoff team, then keep Tatar and Petry and let them go in Free Agency. If not, then deal for 1st rounders and B prospects.

I think they will keep trying up until Kevyn Adams drafts a nice forward.

Its been reported multiple times that the Sabres are willing to offload the 8th overall pick and Montour for a top 6 forward. You get that and a decent rushing d man in Mete

I think they are aiming to trade 2021 first not 2020.

The top 6 forward they are talking about is Cirelli.

Also that Sergachev offersheet gets matched quickly.

Also moving Alzner will cost Chicago and Montreal's 2nds this year not a bunch of random small pieces.

That deal just seems like robbery to me. This is a top 10 pick in a very strong top 10 draft not like Tampa's 1st.

Tampa have 5 million to sign Cirelli and Sergachev. Killorn, Gourde and Johnson all have NTC and no one will want to help them unless they get some great draft capital so anything between 6-6.5 is being accepted

Domi is better than Cirelli and would be a cheaper signing. Domi is looking like he'll be paid 5-6 over 7 years while Cirelli most likely wants a bridge deal which will be cheaper short term but detrimental long term

You obviously dont know much about habs prospects as ikonen and olofsson are not small pieces, they are decent prospects, both being former 2nd rounders. Ikonen was injured all of last year but hes a solid future top 9 forward and so is olofsson. Both producing decently in Mens league. Alzner also only has 2 years left and would be some good vet leadership for the young d core the devils should be getting.

Once again, its been reported several times that the Sabres are willing to move the 2020 1st rounder and Montour for a top 6 forward. Domi is exactly that and youd be getting a decent rushing defenceman in Mete who is top 10 in the league in rushes and stretch passes. Something yall need. Adding mid round picks isnt an issue, probably an extra 4th or 5th to sweeten it.

Sergachev doesn't want to play for Montreal after they traded him. It's gonna need to be a bigger offer.

If a player cannot understand that the trade wasnt at all personal then he isnt cut out for the league
