Bouchard is the only untradeable prospect for the oilers

I don’t think MTL would do both moves unless Vancouver’s pick is before 20th overall.

If both came with extensions there’s no reason EDM shouldn’t do the deal unless they believe Bouchard has too 2 upside. I see him as a top 4 PP quarterback. MTL shouldn’t do this tbh.

He has potential to be a number 1

Watching his AHL highlights this year.. Kid look outstanding. Silky smooth puckmover by passing and skating plus he has a 100+ mph slapper. Zero chance any team would move a RHD with his skillset unless they were getting a top 10 in the league by position. Tatar and Petry don't fit that billing

Perhaps you should look at the stats again Petry tied for 9th in points among RHD this season and last time I checked 9th was still in the top ten by position!

I get that Bouchard is the next Pual Coffee to the Oilers fans and yous wouldn't move him for almost anything. I just think your severely understating Petry. Petry's shot rivals Weber's he skates as well as anyone and he is great defensively. He also ranks top ten in almost every offensive category on NHL.com among RHD. Petry is a very very very underrated D man probably because he is behind Weber on the depth chart although they play about the same number of minutes a game.

He is probably like ~25th in NHL no where near the top 10. There's so many good RHD in the league.
