Tampa still has to contend with either a middle-of-the-road offer like this or the threat of an offersheet. They rarely happen sure, but specifically the Kings are in a phenomenal position to throw one at MS. He's a piece the kings need and at this point in their rebuild, the raw asset cost of picks is worthwhile.

Except the Kings aren't giving up a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for a 30-40 point defensemen.
