MTL has no need for RNH so I don't know why we would trade for him.

Dont think Philly does that deal

Think I'd actually rather Ghost then Grandlund

I have to agree with that. Sanheim is highly regarded in Philly.

Man, that's a real interesting Edmonton trade. If RNH is willing to resign at a reasonable price I might not like this trade. But, if they can't then yeah I'm all for it. I'd be a little disappointed if he left but I think it's fair value. Drouin could be a stud on the Oilers

Really? even the Edmonton trade? Assumming Hopkins re-signs with the Habs they win that deal hands down. RNH scored 69 points last year playing with 3rd or 4th line wingers as Edmonton's 2nd line, and was scoring at around 1.5 pts/game while on the wing with Draisaitl and Yamamoto. He is a very good 2-way player, and any team would have use for his services as either a winger or center. I'm pretty sure that given Edmonton's situation (RNH easily plays center or wing, PK and PP) that Drouin would be a significant downgrade for them. So essentially this just hinges on who RNH is willing to sign with long term.

RNH already is a stud. This trade is terrible for Edmonton.

He's eager to extend with the Oilers. He'll be an Oiler for life.

He's from BC, played his junior hockey in Red Deer, has been with the Oilers for his entire NHL career, and after years of mediocrity the team is finally looking like its headed in the right direction. He gets a regular shift with one of the top young centres in the league, and lines up with the best player in the world when he's on the PP. He's loved in Edmonton, and his current team is closer to contention than the Habs... Money, incredible amounts of money, would probably be the only reason he'd leave the Oilers. How much is Bergevin willing to over pay him?
