Why would Montréal loose all those assets when then can just make offert sheets?

Also, what is the point of trading for Poolparty if tou cant play him?

READ: If they get offer sheet on both players that they can't match... they would get in total: 2x1st, 2xnd, 1 3rd.
I think this return is more valuable than all those picks for today and future fix

I like the Oilers trade. However, if the Oilers did this, they'd have to shed some of their own cap to make it work. Not saying that TB would take any back, more they'd have to send Russell, Neal, etc. somewhere else. They don't have the space to take on Killorn without it. If the Oilers were to do that, I think that's a very fair trade

No way Sergachev is traded to Montreal after being dealt by them, Sergachev wasn't a happy camper. Can't see either Cirelli or Sergachev being dealt within the division. Both probably go west somewhere if they were to be dealt. Montreal isn't happening.

I’m so confused, that trade is awful. I’m sure TB would rather just let teams O/S them. They’d get more value out of the two O/S than that. If both players got O/S for their value, they’d get 2 1sts, 2 2nds, 2 3rds. I get they’d probably want some roster players back but there are way better deals out there than this.

why would Tampa sign the players then trade them? they lose all leverage bc once the player is signed teams know they have to flip them. They would be smarter to see if a team offersheets them and if they dont the can sign both players for less than expected....this return isn't good for either player and 7m in Mon is roughly 5.5m in Tampa (tax%)

I don't agree:
Serg OS compensation would be: 1st, 2nd, 3rd = Fleury (Value= to a 22OA pick NHL ready), Lehky worth 2nd +3rd(2nd round pick valuable Suspect unproven)
Cirelli OS Com 1st OK, 2nd OK at 6M+

Seriously... open your mind bros!
I have insert their salary value to better image the total dollar that TB are in hell with... Trade RFA player... than MTL sign them at that value +/-

I do Agree, but he as No trading power right now... and with Webby addition and telling him to lay top minutes next to him might convince him to stay... and he can speak Russian with Romanov tears of joy

Bros open your mind

Tampa is a tax free state so they can take less and make the same. Tampa is year in and year out a cup contender and its also tampa bay not Canada. if you honestly think either player would leave tampa to make an extra 200k youre wrong... idk how else to explain to you that a) the values you are offering are trash b) bc you offer an offersheet doesn't mean aplayers has to sign it.... im sure that's no too hard to understand

300k in cap space, 1.3 mil in bonouses, and a 21 man roster does not work. 1 injury and your playing down a guy? And tampa can't afford any overages into next years cap from bonouses

why would they sign then trade? again they lose leverage? a team would either make an offersheet for a ridiculous price which would translate into multiple 1st round picks or tampa signs them... its just silly to think Tampa would agree to sign them for a great value them trade them away for pennies on the dollar...

ill explain better.... Tampa will have no issue trading Killorn Palat Johnson or Gourde. all players that are making close to the 6m you "signed" Cirelli and Sergachev for. now lets use logic. would you rather have Sergachev and cirelli for 6m each or any one of Killorn Palat Johnson or Gourde for slightly less? Tampa is trying to win now so late 1st round picks and prospects only go so far..... so again ill ask you why does Tampa even consider doing this... even if they get cracked over the head and trade killorn Palat Johnson or Gourde for 2nd-4th round picks (worst case) why trade 2c and a top defender when you don't have to
