Beyond that the Wings would decline as they wouldn't take on 5.75M in cap hit and lose a draft pick. You have to realize teams must pay with draft picks for another team to take on that kind of cap hit.

Dunn would get closer to 3.25-3.5M on a 3 year deal as you are buying a free agent year at that point.

Steen isn't waiving for Detroit, Nor is Bozak waiving for Ottawa. Both Dunn and Pietrangelo get slightly more money. I think Georgiev even gets closer to $3 million per season.

I think Bozak WOULD go to OTT, and here's why: He's in the last year of his deal and, unless he's hanging them up, joining a team that will give him top minutes and 1st unit PP will greatly improve his next contract. He's not blind. He's seen how OTT boosted up the value of guys like Ennis, Connor Brown, Duclair, Dzingel...
Bozak comes to OTT and goes from 3rd line minutes to 1st minutes, from Steen and Thomas as line mates to Tkachuk and Duclair... puts up 45 to 50 points by trade deadline (thereby improving his next contract) and STILL gets to end up with a contender for the playoffs. It's a MASSIVE WIN for him.
