You’re overvaluing Nemeth and Glendening. Nemeth is a 3rd pair D on a good team and probably worth a 3rd at best. As much as I like Glendening, he’s probably worth a 4th. LA trade would be alright but I think I’ve seen reports that Carter would retire if traded form LA.

Detroit already needs to add a LD they aren't going to trade the 2 they have (Nemeth and Dekeyser). I can see Nashville taking Glendening to improve their pk and he is cheap but 1 pick is enough 4th or maybe 3rd. Not sure why Detroit wants Carter a 35yr old with 2 seasons left before he retires. If LA wants to move him they can get a better deal from a playoff team looking for some scoring at the TDL. Rasmussen was thrown into the NHL last season and was in way over his head. Since he had a year of eligibility left in the WHL he wasn't allowed to play in the AHL for anything more than reconditioning. If Yzerman wanted to trade him he'd already be gone but he was a top 10 pick and I don't see him being traded until he is given another shot in the NHL. Helm for Dubnyk? Detroit needs another goalie for this season and $4.4M is probably more than they want to spend but it's only 1 season. So they aren't stuck with each other if it doesn't work out. I would make that trade just don't know if The Wild would.
