But Dubas would probs take the 1st if offered. Mikheyev before getting injured was projected at 50 points. On top of that his offensive and defensive skills were great. He could fill in a top 6 role well and was useful on the pk with the possibility of future pp time

That's tough... I would say that the offer is fair (probably more than fair considering his small sample size and injury), but I would still be hesitant to trade him.

Trading Mikheyev is touuuuugh decision but for that offer its a yes, even tho it hurts.

That guy is a pretty good hockey player but to trade a 1st rounder with that small NHL sample is a pretty tough decision.

Too many over paid checking forwards. Not enough scoring talent. Like I said, it’s prolly an over pay but I think the kid has serious upside

potentially i guess, but he scored the bulk of his points on a shooting bender early in the year and went ice cold for like 15 games before having a decent 4 games before getting hurt. He's one hell of a gamble.
I like him, but there is no way he is worth that in a trade

As a Leaf fan, I like the trade. I hate to loose a guy like Soup, though. Fox has always been a guy I’ve wanted on the 3rd line and you can’t argue with a 1st.

I do agree a middle round pick or b level prospect would have to accompany Soup. As good as he may be, it is still a maybe. If I’m Dubas you I’m looking at moving another LWer and keeping Soup, though.
