I realize this should be posted in forums...but no one ever looks at the Winnipeg one lol.

If Winnipeg is lucky enough to draft 1st overall the choice is obvious.

If not, the choice will likely be in the high teens/low twenties.

My top 5 choices who should be available around that slot:

1. Seth Jarvis (hometown boy)
2. Connor Zary
3. Mavrick Bourque
4. Dawson Mercer
5. Rodion Amirov

Honourable mention: Hendrix Lapierre

That’s a very good list! More good players that you could possibly get is Dylan Holloway, and Jacob Perreault.

Excellent choices as well! Honestly, I completely forgot about Jacob Perreault...I would probably have him ranked ahead of a couple players on that list!

I like Perreault as well. Amirov is who I want the Hawks to take if we make it past the Oilers and the pick falls into the late teens, so I think he would be good the Jets too

Well done. Ive had a lot more time this year to look at the draft.
This was discussed before on this site, but would you trade the 1st to OTT for the 3rd and 5th? or is Laf too much of a generational talent to let go? Gun to my head I keep the pick, but it's intriguing to think about one of Stutzle or Byfield and maybe Drysdale becoming jets. Maybe OTT adds something else like Tierny and the jets add Niku or someone?

I would trade Laf for 3rd and 5th...even if we add in others. We don't exactly need Laf
and it would automatically fill the 2C and 1Rd role for the following year with Byfield and Drysdale

Thanks man! Same here. Although I do believe something like 1st & Niku (or similar) for 3rd, 5th & Tierny would almost make too much sense for the Jets...gut feel is I would rather keep 1st overall to draft Lafreniere. Both sides make sense and I think the value is there too!

Leave Tierney...OTT fans don't want to trade the 3rd and 5th so you add in someone else, it will be a big explosion.
