No. Ottawa is not trading 3 1sts, including 3&5ovr, 3 prospects, and 4 mid round picks. For Eichel and Montour plus filler.

Skinner had one good year. And even if he kept that, don’t think Ottawa is clearing out their prospects AND 3&5ovr for those guys.

LMAO, the sens take on 28 million in cap not including signing Montour and their RFAs and Buffalo takes nothing back? Wow. Any cap flexibility and future the sens just threw in the trash. I'm not touching that skinner contract. As much as I like him, once he signed the deal he gets 14 goals? I don't like how that looks

A 40 goals scorer in his UFA year. He's a 30 goal, 50 - 60 point guy... for 9mil a year

We do not trade Eichel until he asks for a trade, and even then he still has a long-term contract and it will be necessary to find the right deal.

What exactly are the Sabres blowing up? It's not like this team was a playoff team for a few years then had an outlier season this year - Sabres are the never ending rebuild team there is nothing to blow up cause it's never been put together

Why would the Sabres sign Taylor Hall if they were doing a full rebuild??

Overpayment, but my message was that I still don’t want to trade Eichel.

Not true I took Gáborík, Marián off your hands, Skinner is up and down but he's no worst than 2nd line, you could if you wanted make parts of further deals with Montour and McCabe, Last you have the most cap space in the NHL so stop crying - you get a legit superstar, a guy who at worst is your second line forward, a good 4th line guy, and two defensemen - I got 3 probablies 6 maybes and a contract I got to eat.

Dude! Stop talking. More like he had one down year. He’s been one of the best goal scorers over his career. He’s up there with Patrick Kane in goals per game.

Either way, Buffalo isn’t doing that trade anyway. Theyre not rebuilding and they’re def not trading Eichel.

Why would Ottawa trade the future for the core of a team who can't even make the playoffs?

Nurse is left shot Risto - Reinhart is the best player in the trade, Puljujärvi, Lavoie, and the 20th pick are all gambles, Miller while not great is a proven NHL player

- Miller is an overpaid 3rd pairing defenseman that the Oilers don't need. He has negative value in this scenario.
- Hutton is an overpaid backup with eyesight issues. Negative value.
- Pilut isn't an NHL player, better players are available in free agency for league minimum. Zero value.
- Reinhart is a good 50-60 point winger. Is he worth more than a 1st pairing defenseman? That's debatable.
- Columbus' 2020 2nd is slated to be 49th overall.

- Nurse is a 1st pairing defenseman who can PK effectively and even work the PP if asked, although he won't displace Dahlin on the 1st unit.
- Puljujarvi has some value, how much is hotly debated but he certainly has some.
- Lavoie is a hot prospect who is one of the best shot generators in the CHL.
- Edmonton's 2020 1st is slated to be 20th overall.

Also, you are sending ~$13M in cap to Edmonton but taking just $7M back. That doesn't work for Edmonton at all.

OK, I did the Ottawa deal from the other side and you are right it doesn't work for Ottawa, I didn't know Ottawa had so many bad contracts dragging them down - Sabres are overpaying around 6mil Ottawa is more like 16.5mil

kenny laughs. The only player good they get in reinhart . Hutton is perhaps the worst goalie in the league, Pilut is gone to russia while miller is overated. and while they perhaps their best forward prospect , a guy who can easily play 25 minutes per night, a boom/bust prospect and oh yeah a first in perhaps the most deepest draft in years. Oilers will do poolparty, lavoie and the first for reinhart or another deal could be nurse and the first for reinhart

The sens won't have a problem meeting the minimum. That's no reason to make a bad deal. lol 50 mil? I guess you just live in hyperboles. I just did you're trade plus resigning C. Brown, Duclair and Teirney, Montour they came in at 81.3mil... no thanks.

Well they don't have any cap space left now. And complaining about paying 1 player 3mil after you just shed 28mil? Look who's crying now. Gaborik is being paid for 1 year unlike Okposo that the sens are actually eating for 3 years. The cost of the superstar is going to hamper the team with inflated contracts. So it's more than not worth it.
