I have a really hard time picking a cup winner. I'm wrong 10 times out of 10. But here goes. I am going to say the Pens. Probably stupid. But I'm just such a Crosby fan, and by default, a pens fan. He is still top 3 best players in the nhl, easy. And the pens have good depth. Also, they have 2 goalies capable of starting, and a great defence too. Doubt they actually win the cup. But that my prediction. Would love to hear everyone else's. The players are the ten teams I think have the best chance, in no order.
I don't know what their GM was thinking... Did he lose a bet or something?
I'm pretty sure he was desperate for gritty players... which is fine lol but you don't give a 1st and your best prospect for Coleman, mark my words this one will be as bad at the Erat/Forsberg trade

What's the explanation for the Goodrow trade that everyone on this site uses as a basis for evaluating their players' values?
Ya, lol. Them combined isn’t worth 2 firsts. Each those guys is worth about half what they cost.
It seemed crazy but Brisebois said in a press conference it’s now or never and both Coleman and Goodrow weren’t on the trading block. They combine for a less than 3 mil cap hit and signed for next year so that’s one good thing lol
It's too early to tell. You have to see teams come back and play.
Penguins are notoriously bad starters. They have to warm up and get their legs under them. I wouldn't be surprised if they lost to MTL. I don't think they will, but I wouldn't be surprised. This team sleep walks through the 1st half of the year and they have been off for months now.

Ya, I think the Coleman trade was worse than the Goodrow trade.

Sure, those trades will be fair if those 2 propel the bolts to a cup win. But if not then they just burned 3 firsts, for depth players. Goodrow and Coleman are not stars.
I think you might be on to something bud. Really, though, at this point, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Habs top the hawks in the finals.
IK right. it's like a brand new season. "upsets" will probably be the norm. One completely random team will get hot and win....although I do hope a somewhat legitimate top-8 team in the league would win it just to give some credibility...a MTL/CHI final would have a TON of people really mad...

LOL I'm just trying to imagine the controversy of a MTL-CHI finals.
