I’d keep Blais, Sanford is more the player we’d offer probably

Saad would be the best fit IMO.

wingers are a dime a dozen especially this off season. I don't think you have to give up much to get one.
TB and TOR are both going to be coughing up wingers for basically nothing to get under the cap.

IMO we've already got a 2LW. It's Jaden Schwartz. That might be a little unfair to him, but with his penchant for injury and the inconsistency in his offense, that's probably where he's best suited.

What we really need is a true 1LW, and I think we've got that too, kinda hiding- it's Schenn. Within the next two or three years, maybe as soon as next season, Schenn will be the third best center on this team, behind Thomas and O'Reilly. If Thomas can step up and grab the 2C slot permanently, all we have to do is find a reliable 3C rather than a 2LW, and shift Schenn over to the left.

Depending on what Schwartz asks for and how Sanford's and Blais' development goes, maybe one of those guys can slot in to the 2LW slot when Schwartz's contract is up. Or maybe we trade for a Saad, Bailey, there's a few other names that have been kicked around, but Schwartz and Schenn have a better xGAR than pretty much any LW on the "market" that I've seen except Johnny Gaudreau (who would be a 1LW, obviously)

I don't know if we will have the cap space to take on a 5 mil Bozak, you probably gotta take salary back (Hutton lol). If not you would have to retain at least 1 mil and we can make it a 2022 3rd

Would be pretty cool if they'd split up Schenn and Schwartz and use a top-6 of Schenn-ROR-DP + Schwartz-Thomas-VT. I don't think we need to add anything to our forward group tbh, just need to see what we have in Sanford-Blais-Kyrou-Kostin and maybe make some smart rentals next year if there is an obvious hole.
