You can't straight up sign Matt Murray. He is an RFA so you'll have to acquire his rights in a trade or attempt an Offer-Sheet.

You can't straight up sign Matt Murray. He is an RFA so you'll have to acquire his rights in a trade or attempt an Offer-Sheet.

Most likely Matt Murray will be a UFA, if the Penguins aren't going to resign him, teams will not give up much for him, so Pens should make him a UFA because all they could get is maybe a Mid-round pick

COL is one team that has interest already. What makes you think there Is not a single team that would want a young-ish goalie who has won a Stanley cup at the cost of a puny 2nd or 3rd round pick as you claim his value is established?

The pens have just over 13 million in cap room next year. Wtf are you talking about that they have no cap room?

Most of the free agent goalies are really old, many GM's might see Murray as still being a starter, the likes of Greiss, Khudobin, Talbot, etc not so much.

Jim Rutherford: Do I re-sign vanilla midgets like Sheary and Rodrigues? Do I re-sign Schultz who hasn’t been the same since 2017? Or do I sign the 2 time cup winning goalie who steps up in big games (3-0 in game 7’s, not including shutouts in game 5 & 6 of the 2017 cup)?
Ahhh yes I’ll sign the vanilla midgets like Sheary and Rodrigues while letting Murray go to UFA. Then let another team sign him to a minuscule 250k raise, getting nothing in return lol.

Crow won't sign for that, he'd retire first and likely another team would offer him $4M to $5M on a 1 or 2 year deal. Chicago will pay him $4M and frankly he was certainly better then Murray this season.

I get that the acquisition of Bean is cheap, but #1 - De Haan will play in front of him and #2 the Hawks have Carlsson who is ready, Beaudin, Gilbert, Seeler, Vlasic in the wings waiting. There is really no need for another bottom 4 defensive player. There is definitely a need for a top player on the left though. Koekko also should get signed...he's the perfect 7th man. Seabs also isn't on LITR...not happening which negates the Alex Tuch trade.

i was rethinking the Bean trade being, i was looking at Wyatt Kalynuk and with him signed there no-point of the Bean Trade and I feal Like Seeler or Gilbert should be our 7th D there cheaper options and better Defensively and tougher. No hate to Keokkoek I hope he can find a better place were he can get more playing time
