I like Paul a lot but there is no way I would give up Rosy and Niku two young players who will likely have to fill big roles next year. Paul isn’t even the same player he was two years ago. If they would do it for like a second round pick or something I would probably do that

If we're giving a 2nd for a 35 year old UFA we should be getting our 3rd round pick back whether Eakin is resigned or not.

But why lol? He's overpaid quite a bit I agree 100% but a 20 goal scorer doesn't have negative value, especially considering he only had a year left. Maybe make VGK retain 1mil or so but Stastny for a 3rd ans a 4th is very good for both

He's a cap dump, they need to pay to get rid of him, the most I think the Jets should do is let them keep the 3rd from the Eakin trade and that's it.
