Zuccarello has some positive value even though he's overpaid and for too long; Jones has barely neutral if not negative value, especially with that contract. A future fourth-round draft pick doesn't make up for that discrepancy.

Many minnesota fans agreed with this trade a few weeks back. Zucc has an NMC and theyd rather not protect him and this trade solves that, he clearly has no chemistry in Minnesota either. Jones could actually bounceback.
