Buffalo is not in a position to be picky about wing an elite scoring winger plays. Having Gaudreau on roster is likely to keep Eichel happy.

Thats what Skinner is there for, and resigning Gaudreau is going to cost infinitely more than a younger Reinhart, which, again because of Skinner, they cant afford. Leasing Gaudreau at the cost of one of the few top line forwards the Sabres have does not help the situation. Reinhart can be had, if you address Buffalo's needs

Apparently not. The Jeff Skinner that played with Eichel had 40 goals. The Jeff Skinner that played with Evan Rodrigues and Vladimir Sobotka had 14. Theirs a huge difference. Kinda why Buffalo needs a #2 center

Buffalo needs to sign Reinhart to a long term deal, not trade him for a couple years of Gaudreau.
