It isn't a contender but I'll agree it's improved.

Too me. Blichfield is replaceable. Solid prospect but not our best. Bennet hasn’t worked out in Calgary. Maybe he gets out there and becomes at least a part of his fabeled potential.

Ho-Sang was on waivers. He didn’t exactly light the world on fire down there. 125th selection is not bad for him.

Flames. I can see more value. Would be willing to throw 5-7th rounder if needed. Blichfield is quality tho imo.

Edit: it is improvement. Hard to grasp the potential of this team. Like they are better than the lower class of the league but not on the level of cup contender.

Playoff contender is what I define it as. But prospects and picks coming up hopefully we can supplement this team and get this team into the cup contender level.

Minimum salary next year will be 750k not 700k once the CBA memo of understanding is approved. That extra 150k means only a 100k in cap space available and you have to convince a few veterans to risk COVID for next to nothing in salary.
