Détails additionnels:
I can’t see vets waiving NTC to leave Tampa and if he is asking for long term deal then Tampa can afford him. At least this way they get top 6 center with more offensive upside on ETC for next three years

Détails additionnels:
Sabre’s get skilled shutdown center. Basically Oreilly again. In this team they get to keep their first this year which should be a stud that will replace cozens.

I would not do that trade...Yes Cirelli is good but he isn't a star, why giving up one of the best prospect of the NHL for him when Cozens will probably be the same caliber in two years

If Tampa wanted to move him, then yes, a player like Cozens would need to be the main piece coming back. Tampa would need a player that could step in next year to help replace Cirelli and offer long term potential as a 2C. Buffalo gets the quality 2C they need and Tampa gets, hopefully, a future 2C while guaranteeing they keep their defense intact, as this ensures keeping both Serg and Cernak. I think Tampa likely keeps Cirelli on a bridge deal along with Serg, and if necessary moves Cernak if the money isn't there.

Cirelli is one of the best two centers in the league. He has had success with Reinhart and can make us better now and future. Meanwhile cozens is not a sure thing. Do you remember when mittlestadt was best prospect in the league 2 years ago. If he does turn out to be better it won’t be for at least 2 more years.

I really like Cirreli don't get me wrong but he isn't an all-star either. He was good in a stacked team but running a second line in a meh team is different. I would rather offer sheet him than giving away Cozens.

I like Cirelli, but he plays in one of the best teams in the league, and I know that he will probably be a good defensive 2C for many years, but I do not want to trade our best prospect. No need to compare Cozens and Mittelstadt, these are completely different cases. Mittelstadt is absolutely not a physical player, instead of going to swing muscles, he sits and plays in PlayStation, his comments are already similar to Nylander Jr. Cozens is a much more physical player with excellent skating and the right attitude, he is a workhorse and I believe in this guy much more than I believed in Mittelstadt or Nylander when they were chosen.

depends do you want ready now or wait play and see

Cozens could come up and flop in the NHL, while Cirelli could come and make the team contenders in a year. With the new GM he may decide to go through an aggressive rebuild where only Dahlin and Eichel are safe from the trade dragon

I think cozens will be a stud. But I don’t think he should play next year and if he does he should play 3rd line winger. Then next year play 3c and hopefully in 2022-2023 he can play 2c. Meanwhile Cirelli has been play against best lines and he would put up 60+ points for Sabre’s next year. And play against other teams top lines.

In that case we just have to offer sheet Cirelli with a small overpay so Tampa can't match it so we can have both of them.

No AHL option and hes already learned all he can in juniors. No reason to start him on the wing. Centers need to practice being a center

Then just find another option or offer #8+ for Cirelli, but don't trade Cozens. Given that Tampa will encounter problems with a cap and they will not be able to simply trade players with NTC by click, then #8 will be very attractive for them, since this is a guaranteed three years on ELC contract of whom they choose, and in the current conditions it is quite important.

As much as i like Cirelli...
I hope new mgmt isn’t desperate enough to do this deal
Cozens should be a stud for us for a long time

I realize it’s playoffs or bust for us next year
But we need to figure that out while keeping Cozens & pick8 somehow

That’s assuming Cirelli would sign an offersheet here
Extremely doubtful imo
Unless maybe it’s a LARGE overpay
Then possibly

Did u mean Cirelli is one of the best 2C in the league?
Bc he’s nowhere close to one of the 2 best Centers in the league
He’s not even top20

Tampa does not find the #8 pick for Cirelli attractive at all. There's no one there that will start for Tampa for at least 2 years, being generous. A team like Tampa is not trading their star players for lottery tickets when they are one of the 3 or 4 best teams in the league, regardless of cap. Tampa has really no interest in trading Cirellj anyway, but to move him, especially within the division, would require at least a player like Cozens. Buffalo is better off using the 8th pick anyway and then just trying to find a stop gap at 2C until Cozens is ready for that role in 21-22 probably. With smart management, Buffalo is 2 years away from being a playoff team and 3 from possibly contending. They can find a solid 2C elsewhere for probably less, but for Cirelli and where Tampa is at in their window, Cozens would be the ask.

I absolutely agree with the second part, it is better to look elsewhere if Tampa is not interested in #8. Although Rossi or Lundell could well have played 3C in Tampa in a year.

Rossi won't be their at 8 imo, so it's likely Perfetti or Lundell if Tampa wanted C. It's not that players like Lundell or Perfetti can't be helpful, and if Tampa was still building towards being a top contender then maybe I could see the value of #8+ for Cirelli. As it is, I think Tampa's coaches and management now view him as the 2C for both the present and the future based on the last 2 years and especially this year. Having Point and him gives Tampa a great 1-2 C combo and allows Stamkos to be on the wing again. Cozens looks fantastic in the minors and hopefully that gives Buffalo the 2C they've been looking for. However, if Tampa was going to trade their more NHL proven 2C at this point in their window, they'd need the more proven prospect or elc player coming back, which is Cozens over Lundell, Perfetti or outside chance at Rossi. Anyway, hopefully Buffalo gets an good one at 8 and builds correctly with the new GM. I may be a Tampa fan but grew up rooting for the Sabres and Bills with the great late 80's to early 90's teams for the Bills, and Hasek as my favorite goaltender. Outside of Tampa winning another, I'd love to see Buffalo finally get a Cup(or Super Bowl, which they are definitely closer to).

Cirelli is a 50 point player on one of the best teams in the league. He is very defensively reliable and is an amazing 2-way center who still has room to grow. If he came to Buffalo, I can't see him getting more than 45-50 points a year since Buffalo doesn't score nearly as many goals as Tampa. Cozens has a higher ceiling offensively than Cirelli but will take 3-4 years to come close to that ceiling. In his rookie year for Buffalo, if we give him competent linemates and favourable ice-time, I can see Cozens getting 40 points (15G, 25 A). Already that's as much offensive output as Cirelli and Cozens has room to be a 60-70 point player. I'd keep Cozens 10/10 times just because I think he will be an electric offensive force
