What if it were the Arizona pick, likely #11 or #12 as opposed to the Vancouver #19. And instead of the prospect (Foote) you get an NHL ready Defensemen in Butcher or Severson? NJ needs to get more athletic on the Blue Line and St. Louis has that with or without Dunn.

Foote is more enticing than Butcher or Severson. And obviously a higher pick is also enticing. But however you slice it, we'd be trading a big part of a top Cup contender for futures, and that just ain't on.

If Sanderson was available, or maybe Schneider, we’d have to consider it. The thing is, Dunn is a good player now and will be fairly cheap on this next deal. If Perunovich lights the world up, then we may look to move Dunn.
