A case, huh...

Ideally wanted build a team that can play in virtually any kind of situation. I wanted to have players that are extremely sound offensively, extremely sound defensively, can bring leadership to other teams (Crosby, Ovechkin and Pietrangelo are all recent cup winning captains) and the team can is physical if necessary.

Overall this team is built as one that can bring results in playoffs.

I will have to pick @justaboss. It’s close but his offence is just insane. On the blueline & in goal, @mnwild1790 is a bit stronger but extremely close. Overall, I can’t just ignore a team with McDavid, MacKinnon, Draisaitl, Pettersson & Ovechkin. It’s nuts.

AND Crosby lol

Well I'm late to my own party so it seems like I'm too late to build my own case here. But with how close it is, I can't possibly win on a 10-9 vote, can I? Do we wait until there's a sufficient lead or do we turn to a 70 mil challenge?

It's a tight race but I think @justaboss slightly edges it. These teams are pretty similar, with 8 same players. So I decided to compare the players who aren't the same.

The similar players were: MacKinnon, Pettersson, Couturier, Svechnikov, Bertuzzi, Mangiapane, Pietrangelo and Josi.

In general the 5 best forwards and 2 best D these teams did not share were

mnwild: Bergeron, Scheifele, Barkov, Rakell, Fiala, Rielly, Makar.

justaboss: McDavid, Crosby, Ovechkin, Draisaitl, Garland, Heiskanen, Jones.

In my opinion JB has a clear edge on it. Actually I think there's not getting much better from there, really.

Overall mnwild has better defense than JB, but not significantly enough. Goalies are equal.

10-9 is a win. Close one but still.
