Let me help clear the picture..based on the 79 games KK played his first season and prorating Dach's 64 games to 79 games to match KK's games played
KK = 34 points, Dach = 29 points (prorated)
KK = 62% offensive zone starts, Dach = 53% offensive zone starts
KK = 32 takeaways/50 giveaways, Dach = 47 takeaways/20 giveaways (prorated)
I'll take Dach and it's not even a close debate. He's way better defensively and much stronger on the puck. If KK was drafted last year, he wouldn't have gone before Dach or Turcotte and maybe in the mix of Zegras and Cozens but likely after those two also. KK was drafted in a very weak year for centers. I'm not saying he won't be good...he will be, but Dach, Turcotte, Zegras and Cozens are likely going go be better IMO.
