Its a pretty common occurrence with him, I would be asking for Bjorkstrand + Foudy/Texier as the base

Bjorkstrand was arguably better than Gaud last season and is not a lock to leave us in two years, as a CBJ fan i would not do those two one for one. Not to mention Gaud and Torts would probably not get along lol.

I dont think this package is "scraps" though. Peeke had to play in the NHL way early due to injuries and had fantastic analytics and looked good in a middle pair role. Bemstrom was a top 50 prospect last season and really heated up towards the end of the year. Then you have Anderson and first. I dont think either team does this but this package is not "scraps" imo

Oh dont get me wrong the package is definitely not scraps. Is just not enough for Gaudreau.

Define last season exactly because you sure as hell arent talking about 18/19 unless you think Bjorkstrand was better than Panarin too (Gaudreau was). 19/20? Sure, but Bjorkstrand is having a career high year and Johnny is having a career low.

Youre right that Bjork isnt a lock to leave you in 2 year, but also neither is Gaudreau. Both are capable though. Oliver is a 26 year old RFA next ywar and could very easily take a 1 year de at arbitration to walk straight to UFA.

I would rather bjork + Texier but then CBJ fans would lose there minds so I tried to see what they thought about 4 real quality peices that I see have the potential to have a real bright future. Other flames fans come in not knowing the players in the trade and hate it but no team wanting to compete are going to trade there top line players for Gaudreau it is going to be players just starting their NHL career and a mid roster player with potential of moving up with better opportunity.

That's putting it mildly. That's a "where's the star #1C we're supposed to be getting back" level deal.
