I'd rather get full value for Zadorov via trade than include Kulak to be our 7D. Signing a 7D in UFA should be pretty cheap given the flat cap.

I'd be shocked if Hall signed for that little on a 1 year contract.

Kulak is a 7D on a good team. Zadorov can be a top 4D on the right team. He has some elite skills (eg. defending in transition and hitting) and can shutdown the best players in the league in 1v1 assignments (though he's admittedly worse in zone coverage, hence the inconsistencies).

Kulak already plays top 4 on the 8th best defensive team in the league.

Kulak is way better offensively, better defensively, is cheaper and is signed until 2022.

Zadorov might be elite in hitting (when you hit it means your team doesn't have the puck, genius), but Kulak is elite in zone exits. And I value that more than hits.
