And yes, this an overpay currently by the Leafs...who knows in a couple years though as Nylander has more raw natural talent then Kap...Kap is the better player today and has better raw speed of course but not raw talent. Would I do it? Yes, but not as readily as you might think and certainly would be looking back at this trade in a couple years.

I would prefer Kapanen but he is a little more costly right now. Hawks need a Kapanen more than a Nylander. Nylander is trumped by debrincat, kubalik, and kane. They could use a player that forechecks and backchecks hard and opens up the ice for linemates like Kapanen. Nylander will only succeed with someone that can carry a line at this point.
