If Minny would do Arty for Pateryn, the Sens would just do that. Boychuk is terrible, and not worth a roster spot, even at 4mil. This deal doesn't work for Ottawa.

Wow if we could actually pull off that little stunt with Anisimov and Pateryn Id be very impressed. Clears both cap space and a roster spot without giving up anything significant. Not sure if Ottawa is the team that that would work with though, they probably wouldn’t want Boychuk pushing down any of their prospects and could probably get back more for AA midseason/at the deadline. Nonetheless, I like the premise.

And unless Boychuk knows he's getting bought out I doubt he waives for OTT

I really don't know how Lou is gonna evade this cap restraint. Lots of players to Re-Sign with a lot of bad contracts to move. Not gonna be pretty.

I think we’ll be okay, as long as we can bridge Barzal. I think Boychuk could be movable at 50% retention, but finding a partner will be hard
