You know things are dark in Detroit when every fan thinks Mantha is a hero. Dude has no 60 points seasons, no 30+ goal seasons, and is hurt every year. Yes he’s a good player but come on he’s not worth a top 10 pick in a stacked draft plus a high 2nd rounder, adding in a prospect let alone one like Caufield is hilarious.

Then go find Another top 3 power forward with speed and hands who was on pace to get 73 points this year and about to hit his prime years.

If he is so bad, then why do we see 2-3 posts a day done by Montreal fan having Mantha going to Montreal? Detroit has no plans to trade him and Mantha said he wants to sign a long deal with Detroit.

Didn’t say he was so bad just saying he isn’t worth what Detroit fans suggest on here.

Sorry about that. Yes Mantha's value in Detroit is high before his collapsed lung he was almost at a point a game. Honestly he is easily Detroit's most talented player and Detroit has no plans to trade him so it would take quite an overpay to even have Detroit consider trading him. A good portion of the of the Mantha to Montreal posts are a joke and seeing them 2-3 times a day gets frustrating for Detroit fans. Now if Detroit fans were posting the Mantha to Detroit asking Montreal to give up a lot then yeah get upset. It isn't the case and I know have said Detroit isn't trading Mantha a bunch of times yet they keep coming. Detroit fans asking for a ridiculous amount is the only thing that gets the attention of most of the Montreal fans posting these trades. So don't you think it's Detroit fans trying to get the message that Detroit isn't trading Mantha? It makes more sense than Detroit overvaluing Mantha!

No need to apologize, my initial comment did come off a bit harsher than it should. I get the trades and the comments on here can be frustrating at times. We’re all attached to certain players on our team and you’re right that moving Mantha would have to come at a great cost. For what it’s worth I’ve admired the Wings ability over the years to make the playoffs every year for 25 years that is truly an impressive feat in any sport. Your lottery outcome was brutal to watch even as a Habs fan. As a mooseheads fan I hope Zadina has a great career with you guys however he just better not score against us.
