I think CBO talk will pick back up. I’m not in favour of it but a deciding factor I could see being AHL and NCAA cancellation. With a lot of teams suddenly having a bunch of prospects with no place to play could push the league to allow a CBO to help allow roster spots to be opened up even with an extended roster. League would rather old veterans get bought out and play in Khl than young players being sent overseas it’s also not realistic for American and Canadian born prospects to be sent over seas.

If there is a CBO trade you neal for steen buy out each then resign at significant discounts.

9.5 at the least?? 9.5 x 8 is 76 million dollars, someone would have to give him just under 11 x 7 on the open market to match that, and no one is doing that, especially now.

Flat cap is a death knell for the huge raise. I honestly don't know if he'll get more than 9. Much more likely 8.5 x 8.

The no CBO isn’t that big of an issue considering you could always attach a 2021 1st to get rid of him or A prospect. Probably only likely if AP was willing to sign a team friendly deal.

I'm going to assume that Bozak deal is "to any team that would accept him", because otherwise that's a swing and a miss. Bozak doesn't add anything of value to the Jackets (we lack a #2C specifically, not "centers" in general), and so taking on his cap hit would require some form of bribery.
