I definitely think we can. We still need a goalie who can be a starter if need be (assuming we keep jones) and Georgiev is a cheap option. if we signed someone in free agency they would cost at least 3 million and Georgiev is slightly cheaper. Strome will cost around 5 million, probably even slightly less.

no doubt georgiev is a good idea but strome isn't.

why? say he signs at 4.5 million I definitely think that's fair. Even if his numbers are inflated he can regress a little and still be worth 4.5 million.

I don't think the Rangers should trade Georgiev. They have the potential to have one of the best goalie tandems. As sad as it is, Lundqvists time as a starter is over and you have to play the best players, being Shesterkin and Georgeiv.

strome is garbage without panarin. hes been with elite players before and panarin is the only one who has raised his production so far. Georgiev didnt look good this year. Way too much going back from san jose in this deal. san jose is not really in win now mode anymore. they are going to be stuck in no mans land if they dont retool. trading a young asset for an overpriced asset and a maybe starting goalie isnt the solution.
