As a Leafs fan, and a fan of the NHL, I would absolutely hate for this to happen. The bruins have too much cap space :(

I know. Its a cap move. The point is they wont be able to afford any of those guys so they trade them. Im not as focused on the return as i am with the signings.

Boston is a worse team by making these moves and the returns on the trades are terrible for them.

Tyler wall was the best G in the NCAA so he’s not dead weight but I agree they should get way more for DeBrusk

Don't need G, we have three prospects. But Grzelcyk to NYR could work.

Really? Could have sworn that Bruins prospect Jeremy Swayman won the Mike Richter for best goalie in NCAA and was a Hobey Baker finalist for the best player in college hockey.

Swayman was probably a bit better but their stats were similar

Just because you’re trying to clear cap space doesn’t mean you have to make horrible trades.

Probably a bit better? He played for Maine which is a pretty awful program right now. He faced more shots than any goalie in the NCAA and posted a 2.07 GAA / .939 SV%....he was the entire Maine program the last 3 years lol. Wall had a solid year with a 2.10 GAA / .931 SV% but he plays for a much better program in UML.

No from Isles, have no room for Bjork and he is not worth a 3rd.

Always thought Grz and NYR made sense if Boston moved him. He and Quinn are really close and Grz played for him at BU.

I would have agreed with you 8 months ago. That take is wildly inaccurate now.

Hall is probably going home to Calgary, And Pietrangelo is staying in St Louis. And reports are that Jake DeBrusk could get around $5.5m per doubt Edmonton can afford him.

I don’t remember that, and it doesn’t sound like me.

I might of said, “don’t count on it.” Or maybe, “he hasn’t earned the call up yet.” Or “he needs to show something more in the AHL.”

Overall point was that people were pencilling him into a top six role at the beginning of the season and i thought that was dumb. Still do. It still was.

If you can get more for him great. It would not be from the Isles who have enough bottom 6 forwards to fill two rosters.

Cool. Bjork was playing in the top six this season, and looking like he belonged there.

I put him at 3 LW and moved heinen up to 1 rw and dropped pasta to 2rw to have 2 lines of 5v5 scoring and stuck kuhlman with coyle and bjork. It probably would have worked if injuries werent a major issue for that 3rd line spot. between kuhlman and senyshyn either guy would have been solid there. I truly think Senyshyn will have a solid playoffs if we have hockey.

they completely changed senyshyns game... He went from a pure goal scorer to a decent 2 way player. Its not like hes ryan donato out there... Senyshyn isnt top line material. potentially 2nd line but i think 3rd line is his spot. He has played 6 nhl games and has 3 points. guy cannot catch a break.

Do you remember those three points? I do. There was the one where he whiffed on a shot and someone else scored. Assist. There was the one where he basically through it into an opponents skates, and somehow it got to the blue line for a shot that went in. Then there was an empty netter. He’s looked allergic to offense in his brief time in Boston. If the bruins are lucky, he’ll turn into Daniel Paille. I think he could be a good fourth liner.

He also had a few assist taken away because of an offsides call. I don't think he's as bad you think he was. He looked good when he got a look on the big club, he was just so focused on playing a responsible game because he knows that's what would have kept him up. I still think he could be a good middle-6 winger, I just don't know if it'll be with the Bruins.
