Hutton is way too big of a downgrade for that little cap savings

There is no interest in a deal with Montreal. Danault in one season from UFA.

Try out, they have Cozens behind him too, if Cozens passes him or Danault faulters or wants to much money to stay we can let him go, maybe even give him to Seattle. Thats why I would add a Poehling to this. If Danault doesnt stick around Poehling should be able to jump in the roster immediately, with a year more pro experience

So far, Poehling has not proved anything at all in the NHL. I would not have made this deal. If we want to trade our #8, then this should be in a deal for 2C with a long-tern contract, and not for a guy who can leave in a year and prospect, which so far has not proved anything.

Same can be said for Mittelstadt. I believe Poehling is an NHL talent. Maybe not a top 6 guy that he was hyped as after his debut but he's a solid responsible 2 way center and the Sabres need good PK forwards which is something Poehling has done well in the pros so far, Faksa like. If they dont believe in him, obviously they dont make the trade, but I like what I see from him enough to do this. I would probably make the 2nd round the highest of MTLs picks if I were to change it

Well this is your opinion, I would not do this deal, since it is too risky.

Montreal isn’t interested in moving Danault whatsoever, but Buffalo is getting ripped off.
