MIN doesn’t need G

Well MN does need a G (they have some nice G prospects, yes), but they need a good G, not whatever Jones has been the last 2 seasons. I'd take my chances with Stalock, Dub, goalie KK over Jones (and his contract).

For the trade:
As much as I despise the Zucc contract I'd rather have him for $250k/year more over Jones.

Maybe we could add something to make it worth it. We need the overpaid forward more than the goalie

Problem is the Sharks and Wild are sort of trying to do the same thing: rebuild on the fly. If the Sharks are willing to part with Hertl I'd love to try and swing a deal with Zucc and Jones involved (obviously we add), but I'd imagine Hertl is pretty close to untouchable.

Nobody needs that overpayed goalie, he doesn't even fall into the serviceable backup category. His contract is too long and for too much money. It's past the point taking a gamble and hoping he'll rebound after 2 very bad seasons.

Pretty much yeah. Moving Hertl to be rid of Jones would be a colossal misstep and grounds for firing Doug Wilson. Hertl is someone I only move if we rebuild, and then Id want a top 10-20 prospect+ for him back

I am well aware. Zuccarelo himself is a pretty awful and longer contract, which is the point of the trade

Mini does not do this, they can buy out Dubnyk and sign Lehner.

Its mainly the NMC. Wild have to protect him, they dont protect Jones. Anyway many wild fans agreed with this trade earlier.
