Actually if the Islanders lose their play in series they have a 12.5% chance to win that 1st overall pick, which means Ottawa won't get our 2020 1st round pick they'll get our 2021 1st over all pick instead. That's only if the stars are aligned and Lou's chanting some heavy voodoo though.

Hawks Perspective: I’d seriously consider this. I’m not up to speed on Laf but look at Hischier and Hughes; not exactly tearing things up. So although he may be a great NHL player he may not be as dominant compared to Stutzle so it may work out. (Yes I realize it’s premature to say that about Hughes)

Hawks can get Stutzle at #3 and get rid of Seabs contract. Plus that may be a catalyst for the ever popular Strome for Brodin swap and holy crap that’s an upgrade.

Laf + Seabs + Strome for Stutzle + Brodin + 15th and I think that’s a very interesting offer.
