We give up a 40-45 pts guy, an AHLer, a 4th liner and a 1st rounder for a 60-65 pts guy...


The AG deal:

If we decide to move AG, we need to get an NHL asset who can help us right away, and that deal doesn't provide that

Was trying to find a balance in the lineup. I feel we already have several NHL ready players in the top 9, also trying not to block out our deep prospect system and get someone for "down the road". Plus Andersson and Georgiev are already sort of blocked out.

You just undervalue Domi for either personal reasons or just because you don't like the Habs.

The overpay is whatever the value of Howden and Rykov is, I have no idea as to their value and am willing to admit that Unlike some people! (DirtyDangle) but just for arguments sake lets assume they are B prospects! they could be had for a 3rd or 4th. but I believe that Howden is an A- or B+ and Rykov a C+ so Howden would cost a 2nd or 3rd and Rykov a 4th or lower. That is an overpayment like I said but not as much as you make it out to be. You make it sound like they are giving up 2 1sts and 2 2nds.

Value wise.. Domi for Strome, Anderson, 1st would be a fair good price... as we don't have any interest on Howden or Rykov (suspect)

The value isn’t there Howden hasn’t shown enough promise and Strome hasn’t done much in his career either. Him and Panarin seem to have chemistry so you should keep him. Habs would want Deangelo as they’d be hoping to replace Petry and with Fox and Trouba the Rangers are in good shape to be able to lose Deangelo. I’m fine if you don’t like that offer but Habs aren’t moving Domi for a couple of question marks.

Canucks decline. No way we move a 1st for a goalie; we already have Demko as a young goalie.

Markstrom/Demko is not a weakness. Nobody is going to give a 1st for a disgruntled winger + goalies (without more expierence).

Rangers pretty easily decline both...

Pretty easy fixes to both trades though if you're trying to be realistic. Drop the 2020 1st and Lias.

Though it seems like you're playing Smith as a Forward, Staal in the lineup, Trouba above Fox and Kravtsov on the 4th line while Lemieux is on the 3rd. And those are talent evaluation issues that aren't fixed as easily...

VAN decline, they will re-sign Markstrom, he is priority number 1 for Vancouver.
