OTT
  1. Cernak, Erik [Droits de RFA]
  2. Gourde, Yanni
Détails additionnels:
gourde might consider waiving out of desperation. had lots of time on the fourth line which could frustrate players. he's from QC so a trade to eastern canada doesn't seem all that crazy on him waiving his NTC
With top 6 minutes, Gourde can easily gain back worth to this contract and potentially become a 50-60 point guy again and a crucial asset to the rebuild

  3. Choix de 4e ronde en 2022 (TBL)
Détails additionnels:
anisimov is easier to flip as there's no NTC, MIN benefits from a Koivu replacement and gets a bit of a pay boost to take on Artem

  1. Cirelli, Anthony [Droits de RFA]
Détails additionnels:
I don't see Cirelli getting moved, but there's no harm in exploring options. WPG should be all in on him.
TB should want a capable middle six center, a RHD prospect/rookie and a few picks.
I don't know by how much Niku's value has fallen... can always sub in Chisholm

  1. Walker, Sean [Droits de RFA]
  2. Choix de 3e ronde en 2021 (LAK)

  1. Killorn, Alex
Détails additionnels:
Would seem more logical that a contender buys on him, but he has term and could be a great merger asset.
Given LA likes Roy a lot, Walker is expendable. LA has lots of talent on the rise, but not a lot of veterans to successfully merge them to the league. Killorn could be this guy

these moves assume a pretty good scenario... i don't think it will be this easy though... I have no clue how they will make any of this work

he's probably going to lead the Wings to another couple cups and the dip when cap problems get really bad.

The cap isn't going to stay flat for the next 3 years.
Their new TV deal alone will change that.

On top of it when they go back to the table to do a new TV deal. It will be done with the intent of making sure that their TV contracts can cover ALL of their expenses instead of being a gate focused league that they currently are.
As they need to make sure they are on par with how other sports are making their money, as their model is broken.

Why would Winnipeg give up all those assets for a player Tampa cannot afford (or has to move other players out to keep)? Tampa will have to lower the asking price because they will lose players via offer sheet if they don't.

Yeah hopefully ESPN recognizes us as a sport and offers us at least 800/y. league hardly survives on the current 200.

Walker is not expendable to the Kings. They need 3 RHD. They have 3 RHD. Roy and Walker aren't for sale unless someone wants to significantly overpay for one of them. This does not qualify as an overpayment.

I would think that there are a ton of teams screwed with a flat cap and roster projections for next season. It's not just Tampa Bay. It's probably half of of the league, if not more. At least Tampa has a great group of young players who are willing to take something of a team discount to keep them together. That's unlike most situations on most other teams.

Sens probably don't even come close to considering that. Contrary to Sens fans that have been idiots in giving up on Brown way too soon, the organization (namely Dorion) sees him as part of the future in a big way. They're not giving up him and a valuable pick when the only certainty coming back is Cernak (who's dope, sure) and a long contract that's got a lot of risk involved. If Gourde doesn't bounce back they're picking up a garbage contract for some really nice assets.

cernak is still a very viable asset for OTT... they need RD, and Cernak could be a definite piece to their top 4. Anisimov isn't a nice asset, in fact probably a wash with Gourde. Cernak for a pick and the downward-trend of Brown isn't a drastic overpay.

Be that as it May flames need their cap and can’t waste it on players like coburn unless Tampa really overpays.

Gourde is just beginning his contract while Anisimov is just ending his, so in no way are they a wash. Cernak is a great piece, but there's been no "down-trend" of Brown to justify taking on a potential cap dump in Gourde with no sweetener. Ottawa's got very little incentive in this.
