Description
This was one of the most interesting things i've done. Its interesting to see where different people rank teams.

If anyone wants to see how this was scored I will be putting a link in the comments for you to download the excel sheet I used.

These are the Results after 33 people have voted:

1.Boston - 298 points
2.St.Louis - 263 points
3.Tampa - 246 points
4.Colorado - 240 points
5.Pittsburgh - 180 points

After seeing these results, its very clear that people are pretty set with the top 4 teams in the league (Boston,St.Louis,Tampa,Colorado). There is a slight drop off after the top 4.

Pretty insane that 4 out of 10 teams are from the Metro division.

Another surprise to me, was that there wasn't many high votes for Toronto. I definitely thought there would be some high votes for them.

I will deffinetly be doing this again, come playoff time of the next season. Fingers crossed ladies and gents.

Maybe it shows that Leaf fans are realistic in their expectations of their team. You gotta think the Leafs are the 3rd best in their division, and about 7thin the Conference.

The metro teams listed are all very good. None of them appear to be elite because the competition is so stiff. I also find it surprising that there are only 3 teams from the west.

I don't know why you are shocked about TOR.
I have to be honest. If the season went 82, I'm not sure if they make the playoffs.
all the WC were going to come out the metro.
TB and BOS had basically wrapped it up and FL was charging for that 3rd spot. They were right in that hunt.

As for BOS at number 1. I'm not to sure about that.
I think if you are talking about regular season maybe.
If any team can survive the metro playoff match ups. Watch out because that team is most likely going to win the cup.
They got 3 of the last 4. It's a blood bath over there.

I think it's hard for anyone who actually watches to think that when you are seeing them clutch onto a playoff spot.
I really think they end up on the outside looking in if this is a normal year. 12 games left and they weren't playing good. All FL needed to do was get hot and they were in.
Because there were probably going to be 5 teams in the metro with more points.

Toronto still would’ve easily made the playoffs. They have a way better team then Florida

I'm not to sure on that. FL had a much better schedule going forward, TOR was basically brutal in the end.
I don't think it would have ended well for them.

On top of it they just lost games to LAK, ANA, and SJS. they weren't playing well.

Speaking as a Stars fan and someone that hates Toronto, I get it.

Toronto has some of the best high-end talent in the league and their forwards are also among the best. Aside from this season, Andersen has been one of the more consistent goaltenders over the past several years so if he returns to form they're dangerous. But they also bleed shots so a below average goaltending performance will sink them

And for Dallas, their final 10 games or so, where they lost 6 straight, are still in the back of everyone's minds. I don't think that negative momentum will carry over after over three months of not playing, but it can still be a cause for concern. Also, just looking at the point totals for their roster, everyone sees underperforming stars like Benn, Seguin, Pavelski, Radulov, and Klingberg. While they do play a stout defensive game and have excellent goaltending, scoring goals is the hardest thing to do in the NHL so a lack of offense could easily be their undoing.

Tampa probably has and has had the best team, but I think that sweep from last year makes everyone question them. It wouldn't even be that much of a debate if they showed up in the playoffs
