I like the look of the roster for next season, but I think there's just too much money tied up beyond it. If the team is going to pay picks and prospects to get rid of contracts I'd prefer they keep Sutter and Baertschi and try to unload guys like Roussel or Beagle instead. I doubt the cap will go up very much in 2021 and with Pettersson and Hughes needing contracts there are going to be other teams looking to take advantage of the Canucks cap situation (see TBL this year).

The cap should go up a bit due to Seattle joining the league. Hopefully each team can get a CBO this year.

for sure! if there is a CBO i feel confident VAN would be able to sign all their free agents. if not i feel like they would have to pick 2 out of Markstrom, Toffoli and Tanev
