Quoting: babouie
Just because your played out of position as a 1st pair dman ( chariot ) does not make you a top pair dman he was played there out of desperation and a lack of depth he is and always has been a number 5 or 6 dman . besides petry and weber the habs do not have another top 4 dman right now . Romanov is a rookie with very limited offence . ( no one knows exactly how he will work out this year ) KK is starting to look like a bust . Danault is a very good quality 3rd line center being played out of desperation as a first line center ( lack of depth ) . Domi pouted when put on the wing last year and the habs might trade him , he is rfa no contract talks have been in the news and apparently he wants a big contract extension . Suzuki looks like he might be a star . Strome looks like he can be a 60 - 75 point center with size . Beaudin gives montreal a top two prospect dman to pair with weber . Suzuki and STROME as your 1 and 2 centers with Danault as 3c gives montreal youth some size quality and depth down the middle . Carey Price has 7 yrs left on his untradeable anchor of a contract .Trading Primeau to fill two of the habs BIGGEST holes is good for the habs . Matta actually pairs up with Petry perfectly in the top 4 leaving Romanov a chance to play with Chariot and get acclimated to north american hockey
When you need that much explanations to back you trade up it's a sign that the trade just isn't working out.
-Chiarot has played on first pairing in Winnipeg and Montreal and has shown that he belongs in a top 4.
-Chill down KK's barely older than some prospects in this year's draft, people expected too much and too quickly from him.
-In what kind of dynasty is Danault ''just'' a third line center? According to hockey-reference out of any player who has played min. 30 games this year Danault ranks third league widein ''Corsi-for% 5v5'', who are ahead of him? Gallagher and Tatar. That just shows you how dominant of a center he is while playing against opponents top lines, he won't be that flashy center but everything he does is perfect.
-Primeau isn't in Price's shadow because he isn't ready yet. He'll most likely get a shot next year (2021-22) and we'll slowly get to a 50/50 goalie tandem in 2023-24, by that time Price's contract will be done soon and his prime will be behind. This would be a troubling situation if Primeau was ready right now for a starting job.
Please stick to your team.
